September 3, 2021 - Merced – A firearm was located by Merced PD Gang Unit Officers during a traffic stop. On September 3rd at approximately 3:44 P.M., Gang Unit Officers Rocha and Saldivar conducted a traffic stop in the 1800 block of M.L.K Way.
During a search of the vehicle, a loaded firearm was found. The occupants Jesus Lua (21) and Joseph Hernandez (18), both documented gang associates were arrested for possession of a loaded firearm and ammunition by a prohibited person.
