A Red Flag Warning remains in effect today through 11 p.m. tonight for much of Northern California due to dry lightning and gusty winds, which has elevated the fire danger. Winds are forecasted to have gusts up 35 mph. In Southern California, a subtle cooling trend is expected Sunday through Tuesday as temperatures drop closer to seasonal norms. South to southwest afternoon and evening winds of 15 - 25 mph with isolated gusts up to 40 mph will surface across the mountain and desert passes today.

California historically experiences some of the most devastating wildfires in the months of September and October. Do not let your guard down! To learn more ways on how to prevent sparking a wildfire, visit www.ReadyForWildfire.org.
