In the southern part of the state, high pressure will continue to sit over the desert southwest through the middle of the week, with temperatures remaining about 5 degrees above normal. Westerly afternoon and evening winds of 15 – 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph will continue to surface over the wind prone mountain and desert areas through the middle of the week.
