October 1, 2021 - Are you over 60 and low income? Do you use a fireplace to heat your home during the winter?
The Senior Firewood Program is designed for residents who are over the age of 60 and low income qualified, $1,073 for 1 person or $1,452 for 2 people.
Qualified residents interested in participating will need to complete an application.
Please call the Mariposa County Senior Activities Center at (209) 966-6632 and ask about their Senior Firewood Program.
Firewood is distributed on Wednesdays at 9:00 A.M. across from CalFire at 5366 Hwy 49 North. The Senior Firewood Program is tentatively scheduled to begin at the end of October 2021. The start date will be based on firewood availability and CalFire Mount Bullion Fire Crews availability.
The Senior Activities Center staff will contact approved applicants to inform them of the official start date.
