October 21, 2021 - On October 13th, narcotics detectives with the High Impact Investigation Team (HIIT) arrested 47-year-old Jesus Ramos of Los Angeles. He was booked into the Fresno County Jail FCSO Fentanyl 01for multiple felony charges related to the possession of drugs for sale. However, all of the charges were eligible for Fresno County’s emergency zero-dollar bail order, which allowed Ramos to be released from jail on October 14th.

Narcotics detectives contacted Ramos during a traffic stop in the area of Central Ave. and Golden State Blvd. in Fresno. Inside Ramos’ car, detectives discovered two pounds of Fentanyl powder and approximately 8,900 counterfeit Oxycodone Hydrochloride pills. These blue pills, which are frequently seized by law enforcement nowadays, are known to contain an imbalanced concentration of Fentanyl. They are stamped with a capital ‘M’ and the number 30. Ingesting one potentially has fatal consequences. The powder detectives seized contained a mixture of Fentanyl, Ketamine and Hydrocodone. According to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), two milligrams of Fentanyl is considered a lethal dose.
