November 12, 2021 - Merced – Merced PD Gang unit arrests juvenile with concealed firearm during traffic stop.
On Thursday, November 11 at approximately 1:54 P.M. Officer Saldivar with the Gang Violence Suppression Unit conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of West 25th Street for vehicle code violations.
Upon conducting a probation search of the vehicle Officer Saldivar located a loaded 9mm ghost gun. One of the passengers, a 17-year-old juvenile was identified as possessing the firearm. The juvenile was booked into juvenile hall for firearms related charges.
