November 16, 2021 - Merced – Merced Police officers arrested Fernando Cortez Iniguez (24) for possession of a stolen motor vehicle and weapon charges.
At 1:05 P.M., Officer Rudy Hernandez located an occupied stolen motor vehicle in the 2100 block of “P” Street. The occupant, Cortez, was arrested.
Officers searched the vehicle and located a loaded 9mm semi-automatic firearm and a replica revolver.
Cortez was booked into the Merced County Jail for possession of a stolen motor vehicle, convicted felon in possession of a firearm, and violation of a restraining order violation.
The vehicle was returned to the owner.
