Note: Mo Brooks Press Release

November 17, 2021 - Washington, DC— Congressman Mo Brooks (AL-05) has cosponsored key pro-life bills to protect America’s unborn babies from the Grim Reaper.

Congressman Brooks said, “Socialist Democrats’ radical, pro-abortion position has shifted from ‘safe, legal, and rare’[1] to, in some places, pro-infanticide.[2] Their extreme position is mo brooks congressman alabamarepulsive and denies science that has confirmed that human life begins at conception. I’m fighting for the unborn in Congress because the unborn can’t fight for themselves.”

Brooks continued, “America is one of only seven countries worldwide that allows abortions after 20 weeks. That puts America in the same category as notorious human rights abusers China and North Korea— not where we want to be. It’s time to implement protections for unborn babies in America.”

Brooks concluded, “The Socialist Democrats’ radical, anti-life position ignores the will of the American people. According to Marist polling in January 2021, 65% of Americans support the Constitution and states’ rights by allowing individual states to make abortion laws consistent with each state’s values. Further, that same poll reveals that 76% of Americans support significant restrictions on abortion. Further, polls show that 55% of Americans oppose abortion after 5 months and 79% of Americans oppose abortion after 7 months.”[3]

Pro-life bills Congressman Brooks has cosponsored in the 117th Congress:

  • HR 581, Ensuring Accurate and Complete Abortion Data Reporting Act of 2021- Mandates state reporting of certain abortion statistics (age of mother, age of the fetus, abortion type, etc.) to the CDC, which is currently voluntary and has no unified national standard.
