December 3, 2021 - The National Weather Service Hanford Office reports a Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for the northwest portion of the San Joaquin Valley until 10:00 A.M. this morning.

A Dense Fog Advisory means that visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter of a mile. If driving, slow down, use low beam headlights, and keep plenty of distance between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you.

Highways affected include, but are not limited to Highway 152, Highway 99 from Madera northward, and Highway 180 west of Fresno.

* WHAT...Visibility mainly below one quarter of a mile in dense
  fog, but could fall as low as 200 feet.

* WHERE...Mainly areas in Madera, Merced, and central Fresno
  County west of Fresno, including Merced, Atwater, Chowchilla,
  Madera, Mendota, Kerman, Caruthers, and San Joaquin.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM PST this morning.

* IMPACTS...Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Includes, but not limited to, areas along
  Highways 99, 152, 59, 140, 145, and 180.
