December 8, 2021 – Merced - Merced Police officers investigate a solo vehicle collision at E. Gerard Ave & Doppler Road.

On December 7, 2021, at 5:21 P.M. officers responded for an overturned motor vehicle collision near E. Gerard Ave and Doppler Road.

The injured driver was extracted from the vehicle and transported to a local trauma center for treatment. There were no other injured persons. The 37-year-old female driver sustained serious injuries and later in the evening succumbed to her injuries

There are no indications that alcohol was a contributing factor.
