December 10, 2021 – Merced – On December 6, 2021, Merced Police Officers took a report about a man having an inappropriate relationship with a minor. The man was identified as Roberto Jauregui (41) of Merced. It was discovered that Jauregui may have additional victims aside from what was initially reported.

Detectives responded to assist with the investigation. Jauregui was located at his residence and taken into custody during the service of a search warrant. Jauregui was arrested and booked into the Merced County Jail for aggravated sexual assault with a child under 14, sexual intercourse with a child 10 or younger and oral copulation with a child 10 or younger.
