December 11, 2021 - Earlier this week Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of two Twain Harte men, 60-year-old Russel Lee Hedge and 51-year-old Timothy Scott Hoblitt, in connection with the disappearance of an elderly Twain Harte woman. The woman had been reported missing by Mr. Hedge. He had reported to police that a woman had disappeared during a camping trip. The woman was later found deceased in the area of a Herring Creek campsite, where the men had left her at overnight in early December.

Update per Tuolumne County Sheriff: The victim in this case has been identified as 67-year-old Debra Frances Kabeary of Twain Harte.

Our office extends our sincerest condolences to the friends and family of Kabeary during this difficult time.

Cause of death is still unknown as an autopsy is pending.

This investigation is still ongoing and no further information is being released at this time.
