December 14, 2021 – Merced, CA - Merced Police officers arrest Alex Corona Guerrero (22) for felon in possession of a firearm & ammunition and an illegally concealed firearm.
On Sunday, December 12, 2021, at 11:46 A.M., officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 1800 block of Willowbrook Drive. Once clearing the scene, they heard what sounded like gunshots near the railroad tracks behind Wal Mart. After making their way to the area of La Miranda Drive, shots went off again right by their location. They observed a subject walking on the tracks towards Bear Creek Drive and they hurried to the area to head him off. They contacted Alex Corona Guerrero (22) on the tracks and confronted him. He was initially uncooperative but eventually followed commands. He was found to be in possession of a “ghost gun” and a loaded magazine. He was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, concealed illegal weapon and booked into the jail.
