December 17, 2021 - Merced – On December 17, 2021, at approximately 3:12 A.M., Officers responded to a catalytic converter theft. The victim provided a good vehicle description, and officers in the area located the car. Mee Xiong and Thai Vue, both of Merced were arrested and booked into jail for grand theft. A catalytic converter was recovered and returned to the victim. Multiple burglary tools were recovered and seized as evidence.
