December 29, 2021 - The National Weather Service Hanford Office reports a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through 10:00 A.M. Thursday morning for the Sierra Nevada foothills and mountains as well as the Kern County mountains.
Travel will continue to be extremely difficult or impossible. If you plan to travel, consider alternate strategies.

For Kern County, 2 to 6 inches between 4,000 and 6,000 feet with 6 to 12 inches above 6,000 feet. A trace to 2 inches along the Kern mountain passes. * WHERE...Sierra Nevada mountains and foothills above 3,000 feet as well as the Kern County mountains above 4,000 feet. * WHEN...From 4 AM Wednesday to 10 AM PST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible.
