January 4, 2022 - MERCED- Merced Police officers investigated an armed robbery at Chevron, 655 E. Main Street.

On Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at 3:26 A.M., officers responded to Chevron for an armed robbery that just occurred. The suspect pointed a firearm at the clerk and demanded the cash from the register.

The suspect fled the area on foot towards East Main Street. Officers obtained video surveillance of the suspect. The suspect wore a hooded sweatshirt and a mask. The only visible facial feature was his eyes.

At this time the suspect is unknown. The Merced Police Department is requesting the assistance of the public on this case. If you have any information, please contact the Merced Police Department.
