January 8, 2022 - Merced – On January 6, 2022, at approximately 10:47 A.M., Merced PD Detectives and Gang Violence Suppression Unit Officers served a search warrant in the 1400 block of Woodbury Court in the city of Merced. Detectives were attempting to recover a stolen firearm from the residence.

A search of the residence yielded an assault rifle, ammunition, marijuana, cocaine and several thousand dollars. A 17-year-old suspect was arrested for possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine for sale, possession of cocaine with a loaded firearm, juvenile in possession of a firearm, possession of an assault rifle and gang enhancements.
