8x10Now showing at Stellar Gallery "8x10 - The Folio Show", June 13th through July 12th, 2015 with a gala reception on Saturday, June 20th, 4 to 8 PM.

The Folio Show presents a unique body work by ten exceptional photographers!

Participating artists are Jonathan W. Bock, Jerry Bosworth, Cathy McCrery-Cordle, Michael J. Costa, Franka M. Gabler, David Hoffman, G. Dan Mitchell, Steve Montalto, William Neill, and Nancy Robbins.

Each artist will present eight images, strong individual works that are also cohesive as a whole.  The theme of each folio is different, based on the individual artist's style, direction, and passion!

The theme of each folio varies from the macro to the celestial, creating a delightful variety within the standardized presentation of the exhibit.

Works by Jerry Bosworth, David Hoffman, G. Dan Mitchell, and Nancy Robbins focus on intimate and grand landscapes of Yosemite and the Sierra.  Michael J. Costa explores the spiritual beauty of the iconic architecture of Italy. Steve Montalto celebrates the heavens with inspirational photographs of the sun, moon, and stars.

Cathy McCrery-Cordle draws attention to an intimate and sensuous botanical world.  Franka Gabler on the mysterious and iconic California ghost town of Bodie, and Jonathan Bock on emotive and nostalgic images with a pop-culture flare.

Much lauded  landscape photographer and writer William Neill offers a selection from his "Impressions of Light" series,  abstract landscapes created in-camera, expressing the color and essence of a scene in a impressionistic, painterly style.

Each body of work has been carefully selected with input from the other participating photographers to help refine the selection to the final eight images included in each folio.

Another unique aspect of the show is that all works are presented at the same size (12 x 16 inches) with standardized framing and presentation, to insure a cohesive look and feel for the exhibit.

Complete folios will be sold in a small limited edition of 12 at a special folio price.  Individual images from the series will also be offered for sale.

At the core of this exhibit is the concept of "the folio", a carefully selected body of individual works presented as a whole.  Folios are unique bodies of work, like hand made books, offering collectors a unique opportunity to acquire a limited and select body of work by artists they admire.
