January 15, 2022 - FOLSOM, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation’s New Melones Lake and Lake Berryessa field offices will waive day-use fees on Jan. 17 to observe civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr.’s, birthday. Other fees, such as overnight camping, boat launching, and fees associated with concession managed areas will still apply.

The Lake Berryessa Visitor Center is open weekends and holidays from noon to 3 p.m., while New Melones Lake Visitor Center is only open on weekends for pass sales from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Both administration offices remain closed, as well as the exhibit room/museum at New Melones Lake, due to COVID-19. Their phones are staffed Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

In support of the President’s Executive Order on Protecting the Federal Workforce and Requiring Mask-Wearing, face masks are now required in all federal buildings and facilities. Masks are also required on federally managed lands when physical distancing cannot be maintained.

All visitors are advised to continue to follow CDC guidance to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
