January 22, 2022 - The National Weather Service Hanford Office reports a Wind Advisory remains in effect for the Tulare County portion of the Sierra Nevada, part of the Sierra Nevada foothills, and the Kern County mountains and desert until 12:00 P.M.Saturday afternoon.

Strong wind gusts may blow down dead trees and tree branches. Scattered power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, particularly for high profile vehicles.

...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON PST TODAY...

* WHAT...Northeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.

* WHERE...Kern County mountain and desert areas, Sierra Nevada
  south of the Upper San Joaquin River, as well as the Sierra
  Nevada foothills from Mariposa to Tulare Counties.

* WHEN...Until noon PST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.
  Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may
  result.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Avoid forested areas as damaging wind
  gusts will blow down trees and branches. Stay clear of power
  lines. Secure outdoor objects.
