February 9, 2022 - On Friday, February 18, 2022, Yosemite New Life Church in Oakhurst will present a free showing of the movie “War Room” beginning at 6:30 P.M. Doors will open at 6:00 P.M. at the church located at 40390 Junction Dr.
The movie, which is about a marriage on the verge of implosion saved by a renewed, intensified commitment to Christian faith, debuted in theatres around the country in 2015.
It was written and directed by brothers Alex and Stephen Kendrick and has a bountiful cast including T.C. Stallings, Priscilla Shirer, and Karen Abercrombie. Shirer is the daughter of popular TV preacher Tony Evans, founder and senior pastor at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, Texas.
The movie is being shown in honor of National Marriage Month and will kick off a monthly date night at the church every third Friday of the month. The next date night is scheduled for Friday, March 18, 2022. The evening will begin at 6:30 P.M. with a video series called “Love and Respect” for both couples and singles.
