Jackie Baxton Mask

Mask Making Class Offered by Artist Jackie Baxton

The Mariposa County Arts Council is pleased to offer a leather mask making class taught by artist Jackie Baxton. This class will go over design, shaping, coloring and staining, and carving design with leather to create durable art objects that can be worn or displayed on the wall.

This four-week class will be held July 7, 14, 21, and 28 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Alley Pub in downtown Mariposa. The registration fee for this workshop is $150 for Arts Council members and $160 for non-members. Registration includes instructor fee, materials, and wine (one glass per class). Proceeds will benefit the Arts Council’s Artists in the Schools initiative which provides 8 –week artist residencies in 5th grade classrooms across Mariposa County.
