March 1, 2022 – Homicide detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office have been working non-stop to find the person(s) responsible for killing 16-year-old Ricardo Chavana of Parlier.

Now, Valley Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of $5,000 and the City of Parlier is offering a $4,000 reward, for a total of $9,000 for information leading to the arrest of the killer(s).

Around 11:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 20th, Parlier Police responded to a shots fired on the 13000 block of E. Bulah Ave. in Parlier. Officers arrived at a home and discovered a teenage boy had been shot multiple times while inside the house. The boy, Ricardo Chavana, was transported to Selma Hospital and later died from his injuries.

Fresno County Sheriff’s homicide detectives responded to the scene and launched an investigation. Preliminary information shows shots were fired from outside the house and bullets traveled into the house. Chavana has been determined to be an innocent victim.

Detectives believe people in the community have valuable information, which can lead to an arrest of the shooter. They are asking those in the public to do the right thing and report what they know in order to deliver justice to the victim’s family.

If you have information about the suspect(s), please contact Detective Aurelio Flores at (559) 600-8208. You may contact Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-7867, www.valleycrimestoppers.org. You will remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
