March 4, 2022 - MERCED – The Merced Police Department reports Christopher Eleno Rodriguez,38, was arrested for grand theft, possession of stolen property, and possession of burglary tools.

On Friday, March 4 at 2:41 A.M. officers responded to 3200 block of Nashville Ct. for suspicious activity. Officer King contacted Mr. Rodriguez in the parking lot of apartment complex. He was in possession of a floor jack and a Sawzall. Officer King also found a catalytic convertor that had been cut from a motor vehicle in the parking lot.

A witness identified Mr. Rodriguez and his vehicle being involved in the catalytic convertor theft. He was arrested and booked into custody after officers secured a bail enhancement.
