April 7, 2022 - The Annual Spring Plant Sale, hosted by the UC Master Gardeners of Mariposa County, IS BACK! UC Master Gardeners is a program of University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources.
Meet UC Master Gardeners at the Amigo Stage area of Mariposa Fairgrounds on Saturday, April 30, 2022, from 8:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. (or until sold out).
All of the plants sold are hand propagated by UC Master Gardeners who live locally in the foothills. You will find at least 700 - 800 tomatoes in various varieties suited to our local climate. In addition to tomatoes, we will have perennials, natives, succulents, trees, annuals, houseplants, and vegetable starts. Absolutely something for everyone!
Handmade Garden Art will be available as well as an Information Center where you can learn about local resources in the community. Have a gardening question? Ask a UC Master Gardener who will be on hand to address your questions and support your gardening interests.
Environmental Health Services will supply beneficial mosquito fish for sale. These environmentally friendly fish will consume large quantities of mosquito and other harmful insect larvae as well as algae in ponds and animal troughs. If you plan to purchase mosquito fish, be sure to bring a small ice chest for transporting them home.
Come early and get in line before the gates open at 8:00 A.M. The most popular plants sell out quickly! While there will be some boxes available for getting plants home, you may want to bring your own, along with a wagon, for ease of shopping and transport.
