July 7, 2015 - On Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 11:35 A.M. Jerry Lynn Fowler, 64, of Hawk Point, MO. was operating a 2008 Kawasaki Vulcan motorcycle on Highway 49 North near the Fremont Lookout when he crashed the motorcycle. 

Mr. Fowler who was operating his sons motorcycle was traveling northbound with a group of fellow motorcyclists when the accident occurred. 

According to the CHP he sustained moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to John C. Fremont Hospital in Mariposa. 

The cause of the accident is under investigation but no alcohol or drugs were a factor.

The Mariposa CHP reminds motorcyclists to always wear your helmet. It could be your only protection in a collision.
