April 24, 2022 - The victim in Thursday evening’s homicide on Road 15 3/4 in Chowchilla has been identified as Abraham Barajas-Cedillo, a 33-year-old resident of the property.
Madera County Sheriff’s Forensic Technicians are currently reviewing evidence collected from the scene. As part of the ongoing investigation, Detectives are continuing to gather witness statements and surveillance from the surrounding area. Based on witness descriptions of the suspects, Detectives are seeking at least two adult males. Both subjects were wearing masks and clothing to conceal their identities.
Preliminary evidence indicates this incident may have been gang related. This marks Madera County’s first homicide of 2022.
