The Jespersons to perform on Friday, June 3
May 14, 2022 - The Mariposa County Arts Council's Music on the Green returns to the Art Park this year for a full season of live music starting on Friday, June 3, with local favorites The Jespersons, and on Saturday, June 4, The Trespassers!
The Jespersons are a husband-and-wife folk duo. Jared Jesperson is a masterful guitar player and sings harmony while Kaye Jesperson holds down the low end picking a cello and singing lead. They perform a nice mix of originals and genre spanning covers.
The Trespassers to perform on Saturday, June 4
The Trespassers, voted Mariposa's best band in the Mariposa Gazette several years running, is a folk quartet with influences of old time, country, gypsy, rock, classical and opera. Ben Goger plays guitar and sings lead and harmony. Andy Roberts plays banjo and sings lead and harmony. Sarah Cuppery Ottley is a virtuosic violinist and singer. Benny Lee Friedrich holds down the upright bass and sings harmony. The Trespassers perform a mix of originals and covers. The Trespassers' performance will be in conjunction with the Mariposa Trails Day event.
A complete schedule of the talent performing throughout this summer season can be found at Music on the Green. Tips for the performers will be solicited, encouraged, and appreciated.
