SUMMERTIME BREAKFAST
It’s Hot Outside! Don’t turn on your stove on in the morning! Instead, mosey on over to the Coulterville Schoolhouse and enjoy the NMCHC Community Breakfast on Sunday, August 9th, 2015. Breakfast is served by our great group of volunteers from 8 am ‘till 11 a.m. and includes eggs cooked to order, fresh fruit, all-you-can-eat pancakes and a choice of ham or sausage…all for just $5. A family package (2 adults/2 children costs just $15). Whether this is the first time you’ve visited Coulterville or are a “regular”, be sure and come on by… everyone is welcome!

This monthly breakfast continues to be an important fund raising activity for Coulterville’s museum, known as the Northern Mariposa County History Center. It helps keep the doors of this private, volunteer run, nonprofit museum open 5 days a week, Wednesdays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., for 11 months of the year, February through December. Thank you to the many generous donors who contribute such great items to be raffled off every month!
NEW MUSEUM GUIDE AVAILABLE
For those of you who like exploring an area’s history by visiting local museums, there is a new museum guide available with information about the locations, hours open and other info about thirteen of the museums scattered throughout the Mother Lode… in Mariposa, Stanislaus, Tuolumne, Calaveras, Amador and El Dorado counties! This free brochure is available at the NMCHC as well as at the Mariposa, La Grange, Waterford and Groveland museums. It can also be found in the Coulterville Visitor Center.
DOCENT TRAINING and LUNCHEON
There will be a Docent training and summer celebration for all docents on Tuesday, August 18th, 2015. This is for both current volunteers and those just coming aboard. It is a perfect time for those of you “thinking about it” to get involved!
If you are interested to learn more about becoming a docent, just a 3-hour monthly commitment, call the museum at: 209-878-3015 or email: info@coultervillehistorycenter.org.
