Sierra Foothill Conservancy is currently seeking two new team members to join its organization. The positions currently open are for an Operations Director and an Office and Bookkeeping Manager. The Operations Director is responsible for managing the internal operations of Sierra Foothill Conservancy. Responsibilities include supervising and decision making regarding the financial administration of the organization, oversight of staff, oversights of the organization's records, working with the Executive Director to keep the organization compliant with all relevant laws, best practices, and agreements.
The Office and Bookkeeping Manager is responsible for managing accounting practices and providing administrative assistance. The Office and Bookkeeper Manager assists the Executive Director and the Operations Director in administering the organization's programs and operations. Responsibilities include bookkeeping and accounting, billing, file and record keeping, payroll and database management. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of accounting experience.
Sierra Foothill Conservancy has a full-time professional staff of six, four part-time employees, and an enthusiastic complement of volunteers. The Board of Directors provides policy direction and participates in a number of working committees that support the activities of Sierra Foothill Conservancy. Offices are located in the communities of Prather and Mariposa, California. Currently staff is allocated to serve primary functions of finance, land stewardship, acquisition and project development, rangeland management, education, and fund development and outreach.
