Weather

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are forecast for central and eastern portions of the Interior and Brooks Range, with areas near the Canadian border favored. Showers, cooler temperatures, and higher humidity will spread from southwest Alaska into south- central Alaska and possibly western poritons of the Interior, but gusty southerly winds are possible in western and southern portions of the Interior, especially near wind favored gaps of the Alaska Range. Dry and breezy conditions will continue across portions of the Great Basin, with hot and dry conditions in much of Texas and Oklahoma. Monsoon thunderstorms will shift east and primarily develop over New Mexico, Colorado into Wyoming, and perhaps far southeast Arizona. Thunderstorms will continue across portions of the Inland Pacific Northwest, with greater coverage and intensity across Montana onto the northern and central High Plains. Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible across the central Plains and through the Mid-Atlantic and southern and central Appalachians. http://www.predictiveservices.nifc.gov/outlooks/outlooks.html
