July 12, 2022 - This weekend Mariposa County Arts Council's Music on the Green features Tommy V. and the Creekers, Friday, July 15 and Mike Hammar and the Nails on Saturday, July 16.
Tommy V. and the Creekers to perform on Friday, July 15
Tommy V. and the Creekers bring their well-loved down-home folk sound to the Art Park. Tom V. originally from Wisconsin, now resides in Oakdale, California and is a key player of the country/folk scene that has been emerging from Oakdale. He'll be joined by an all-star cast of Fritz Baggett playing fiddle and Benny Lee Friedrich on the upright bass.
Mike Hammar and the Nails to perform on Saturday, July 16
On Saturday, July 16 Mike Hammar and the Nails will play in place of Nathan Ignacio. Mike Hammar is an award winning and highly notable blues guitarist and songwriter, who regularly performs at blues festivals throughout California. Mike and his band are one of the most anticipated acts to play Music on the Green, consistently drawing one of the largest audiences of the season.
A complete schedule of the talent performing throughout this summer season can be found at Music on the Green. Tips for the performers will be solicited, encouraged, and appreciated. All performances begin at 7:00 P.M. (unless otherwise noted) at the Mariposa County Art Park, located on Hwy. 140, between 4th and 5th Streets, in historic downtown Mariposa, CA. Parking is available along 5th St. The lower 5th St. parking lot provides an accessible pedestrian path to the Art Park through the Mariposa Creek Parkway entry.

The Arts Council is an incorporated not-for-profit organization, created to promote and support all forms of the cultural arts, for all ages, throughout Mariposa County and is supported in part by the County of Mariposa, the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency, and the California Arts Council, a state agency.
