Fire in Mariposa County from the PG&E Mount Bullion Live Camera on Monday Afternoon, July 18, 2022 at 1:28 P.M.
July 18, 2022 - The California Highway Patrol reported an accident at around 1:00 P.M. Monday afternoon, where a Nissan sedan went off the roadway and caused a vegetation fire on Highway 140 near Hummingbird Lane.

Update 2:00 P.M. CHP: FIRE: SR-140 closed at Agua Fria, Use Mount Bullion Cut-Off as alternate route.

Detour could change due to fire activity
Update: 1:46 P.M. Mariposa County Sheriff's Office reports Hwy. 140 is currently closed in both directions at this time near Yaqui Gulch and Hummingbird Ln.
Please avoid the area.
NO evacuations have been requested yet, however Sheriff's Deputies are in the area advising residents of the fire and the potential need for evacuations should conditions change.
