Evening Update: Agua Fire in Mariposa County is now at 421 Acres, with 25% Containment.

Update: 3:00 P.M. - AGUA FIRE REPOPULATION

The following Evacuation Orders have been REDUCED to Fire Advisements and are open to RESIDENTS ONLY: Map of the affected area https://arcg.is/00Xeiq.  

Agua Fria Rd, Gold Leaf Rd, Yaqui Gulch Rd (both sides of the road) from Hwy 140 to Prairie Rd, including Prairie and Yaqui Terrace, Hwy 140 from Agua Fria to Bumgardner Rd (both sides of the Rd), Paso del Oso Rd, Oak Canyon Dr, Bumgardner Mt. Rd from Hwy 140 to the top of the hill.

The following Fire Advisements have been Lifted and are open: Mt. Bullion Cutoff, Live Oak Rd, Yaqui Gulch Rd from Prairie Rd to Live Oak Rd.

Road Information: Agua Fria is open to residents only Hwy 140 is open with reduced speed enforced in the fire area.

Fire Advisements are NOT Evacuation Orders, they are simply to inform residents of the potential need to evacuate should conditions change.

SAFETY MESSAGE: The public is reminded to stay vigilant on current fire conditions. Please continue to adhere to road closures and Evacuation Advisories. .  Power may be out when you return home. Trees and poles with deep charring, particularly if still smoldering, should be considered hazardous. Please use caution in these areas and obey all traffic control signs. Fire crews and utility companies will be remaining in the area to mitigate any remaining fire concerns, restore utilities, and bolster infrastructure.  For additional Agua Fire information please call 844-668-3473.

Update 10:55 A.M. Per CHP: UPDATED: 07/19/2022 at 8:30 am FIRE: SR-140 closed from Martin to Mount Bullion Cut-off, Use Mount Bullion Cut-Off as alternate route. Yaqui Gulch closed from SR-140 to Prairie Road Agua Fria Road closed Detour could change due to fire activity

Update 8:28 A.M. Caltrans: Eastern end of SR-140 closure moved from SR-49 to Martin Road. #AguaFire has burned nearly 350 acres, and is at approximately 20 percent containment. Highway information in real time is always available at http://quickmap.dot.ca.gov

July 19, 2022 - CAL FIRE reports the Aqua Fire in Mariposa County is at 343 Acres with  20% Containment on Tuesday morning.
