***UPDATE FOR SPOILED FOOD WASTE COLLECTION***
Our Public Works Department has been working hard to extend the spoiled food waste collection.
In addition to today and tomorrow, they have added Monday, August 1st and Tuesday, August 2nd from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Old Lushmeadows Store site and Bootjack Market.
Remember, if you cannot make any of the listed sites, spoiled food waste can be taken to the County Landfill during its normal business hours at NO COST!
July 29, 2022 - Mariposa County Health & Human Services announce additional extended dates for the FREE residential spoiled food waste collection in Mariposa County for area residents affected by the Oak Fire.
Updates on the FREE residential spoiled food waste collection!
Spoiled food waste ONLY will be collected at Temporary Collection Sites Located at:
- Woodland Park - 3415 Woodland Dr.
- Bootjack Market - 3939 Bootjack Ln.
- Old Lushmeadows Store Site - Meadow Ln.
- Midpines Park – 6364 Hwy 140
The sites above will be open today, Friday, July 29th 8:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M.
The sites below will be available Saturday, July 31th through Sunday - July 31st from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Bootjack Market - 3939 Bootjack Ln.
- Old Lushmeadows Store Site - Meadow Ln.
- Midpines Park – 6364 Hwy 140
All other waste items will NOT be accepted at these locations. The Mariposa County Landfill will be open for additional items Tuesday - Saturday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Additional days and locations for the spoiled food dumpsters will be planned as we move forward.
