August 6, 2022 - This weekend Mariposa County Arts Council's Music on the Green features Dreifus/Budries duo on Friday, August 12 and Tarantula and the Turtle Doves on Saturday, August 13.
Gail Dreifus & David Budries duo to perform on Friday, August 12
The Dreifus/Budries duo will take the stage at the Art Park for Music on the Green on Friday, August 12th. Comprised of Gail Dreifus on guitar and vocals and David Budries on keyboard and vocals we can expect original songs and vocal harmonies from this duo. Gail Dreifus has been a mainstay in the local music scene and beyond for decades soon to release a new album produced by Joe Craven. She is joined by her partner, David Budries, who is an accomplished pianist and sound engineer.
Tarantula and the Turtle Doves to perform on Saturday, August 13
On Saturday, August 13th, Tarantula and the Turtle Doves will return to the Art Park for Music on the Green. Tarantula, Andy Roberts is a clawhammer banjo player and vocalist who writes and sings original music. The Turtle Doves are Kaye and Jared Jesperson on cello, and guitar/mandolin and vocals. Together they form one of the area’s most original folk bands.
A complete schedule of the talent performing throughout this summer season can be found at Music on the Green. Tips for the performers will be solicited, encouraged, and appreciated. All performances begin at 7:00 P.M. (unless otherwise noted) at the Mariposa County Art Park, located on Hwy. 140, between 4th and 5th Streets, in historic downtown Mariposa, CA. Parking is available along 5th St. The lower 5th St. parking lot provides an accessible pedestrian path to the Art Park through the Mariposa Creek Parkway entry.
