Assault Suspect Identification Needed
August 13, 2022 - MERCED- The Merced Police Department is requesting public assistance identifying the suspect of an assault at 7-Eleven.
On Friday, August 12th, 2022, officers responded to 7-Eleven at 2255 E. Gerard Ave for a disturbance. The suspect left the area before officers arrived at the scene.
The suspect and store clerk got into an argument. The clerk tried to record the argument using a cell phone and the suspect threw a tall can of beer that struck him in the face. The clerk sustained a minor injury that required medical treatment.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his 20’s. There are two photos of the suspect. If you recognize the individual, please contact the Merced Police Department.
