For additional information, visit the Predictive Services fuels and fire danger summary, fire weather and potential briefing, and the seven-day significant fire potential outlook.
Isolated to scattered mixed wet and dry thunderstorms are likely across northern California, northwest Nevada, and southern and central Oregon, and some thunderstorms may continue overnight. Away from the thunderstorms, temperatures will be 8-20°F above normal in much of California, the Inland Northwest, Idaho, and Montana with RH below 20%, including widespread areas in the single digits. Pyrocumulonimbus development is possible on very active large fires in the vicinity/periphery of dry thunderstorm development. Hot, dry, and unstable conditions are likely again for portions of central and north Texas, with isolated thunderstorm providing chances of lightning ignitions as well. The monsoon will continue across the greater Four Corners region into southeast California and southern Nevada. Scattered to widespread thunderstorms are likely in the Southeast extending through the central Appalachians. The northern Plains into Minnesota are likely to have isolated to scattered thunderstorms and showers as well. http://www.predictiveservices.nifc.gov/outlooks/outlooks.htm
