High-Country Health Food and Cafe in Mariposa California

September 18, 2022 - On the morning of Saturday, September 10, about sixty people spent time in the Mariposa Park Pavilion listening to a number of the candidates running in the November 8th election introduce themselves and answer questions from the audience. The forum was hosted by the Mariposa Democratic Club.

Five of the seven candidates for the John C. Fremont Hospital Health Care District Board of Directors went first. These were Suzette Prue, Candy O'Donel-Browne, Teresa Johnson, and Nick Lambert. Rose Fluharty and Wendy Ryder-Priola were unable to attend, but sent statements which were read by the event organizer.

School Board candidates were up next. Gail Pioske, Robert Hill, and Kim Monson, who are running against each other to represent District 1, answered questions along with Robert "Bob" Morse who is running for District 3. Kelly Salonen, also running for District 3, was unable to attend.

All of the candidates' statements and answers to questions were very informative. The Democratic Club thanks the candidates for presenting themselves and their ideas to the public and thanks everyone who took the time to come and to listen in order to make a more informed decision on their November ballots.
