A cold front will push south and east through the central Plains into the southern Plains. Dry and breezy southerly winds will develop across portions of the southern and central Plains into Iowa ahead of the cold front, and isolated to scattered thunderstorms are likely along and ahead of the cold front extending from Minnesota through the Southwest, with the greatest coverage of thunderstorms in portions of the Southwest. Low relative humidity of 12-30% will develop from the southern Great Lakes to the central Gulf Coast and central Texas, but winds should remain light. Warm and dry conditions will continue in California, the western and northern Great Basin, and the Inland Northwest, while rain will continue along coastal portions of the Mid-Atlantic and southern New England.
