October 5, 2022 - Merced County Sheriff's Office is reporting that the family kidnapped in Merced have all been found deceased. A farmworker found the victims’ bodies and reported it to police at round 5:30 P.M.
The suspected kidnapper has been awake and talking to the police.
In the video, Sheriff Vern Warnke gives as much information as he can at this time in the investigation. If any new information is discovered the sheriff will give an update at that time.
Further information will be limited as this is an ongoing investigation.
