November 9, 2022 - Sixty-three Mariposa County High School students signed up ahead of time and more came through the doors of Fiester Auditorium at lunch time on Tuesday, November 8, to hear Harvard University Alumni Representatives Dave Ardell and Douglas Van Sant share information about what it is like at Harvard, how to apply for early enrollment, how to apply for regular enrollment, what Harvard is looking for (a diverse student population and students who show a real passion for whatever they are interested in), and a little about their experiences at the school.

ABC IMG 6987Harvard University alumni Dave Ardell and Douglas Van Sant (pictured) took turns speaking to MCHS students
about applying to the university at a special assembly on Tuesday, November 8.

Students also learned that if they apply and are accepted, one of these two men will interview them. Harvard likes to interview everyone who is accepted.

The MCHS Academic Booster Club gladly provided a pizza lunch for students to enjoy while listening to the presentation. Some students stayed after to get additional questions answered.

MCHS Academic Boosters Club, Inc. (ABC) is a 501(c)3 organization with the mission of supplementing and enriching academic experiences and providing educational tools for Mariposa County High School students.
