Gusty winds are expected to continue across many parts of Northern California. The National Weather Service has issued a “Fire Weather Watch” along the Northern Sierra from the Tahoe Basin up to Modoc County as strong winds and low humidity will elevate the fire danger.
While temperatures this past week have been relatively mild, it’s the gusty winds and the dry conditions that continue to allow wildfires to grow rapidly.
