November 22, 2022 - On Friday, November 18th, 2022, at about 7:00 P.M. deputies responded to the area of Main Street near Willow Street in Jamestown for a report of a man pointing a gun at several people. Deputies responded to the scene with lights and sirens. While deputies were enroute to the scene, the man, later identified as 29-year-old Roger TaylorMoore, left in a vehicle. CHP officers also responding to the scene located the vehicle and conducted a high-risk traffic stop. All persons inside the vehicle were safely ordered out of the vehicle where they were detained. TaylorMoore was searched and a loaded handgun and fixed blade knife were found concealed in his pockets.

Deputies began to investigate, speaking to witnesses and to the victim. The victim told deputies he heard a loud argument at a neighboring trailer within his trailer park so he went outside to see TaylorMoore and his neighbor in a heated argument. The victim told deputies he recognized TaylorMoore from minutes earlier when TaylorMoore trespassed through the trailer park and the victim had told him to leave. The victim explained he walked over to try and deescalate the argument and to again tell TaylorMoore to leave the property. The victim said TaylorMoore responded by pulling out a handgun and pointing it at the victim while threatening to kill him.

Deputies arrested TaylorMoore. As deputies completed a full search of TaylorMoore he tensed his body, attempting to turn around while arguing with deputies about being arrested. As deputies tried to place TaylorMoore into the back of a patrol vehicle he put his feet on the doorframe of the patrol vehicle and pushed against deputies, refusing orders to get into the vehicle. Eventually deputies were able to safely seat TaylorMoore in the patrol vehicle. TaylorMoore was transported to the Dambacher Detention Center (DDC) where he was booked on charges of criminal threats, carrying a concealed dirk or dagger, brandishing a firearm in public, carrying a concealed firearm, and obstructing or resisting a peace officer.
