TRAFFIC ADVISORY Road Restrictions on State Routes 49, 132 and 140 

December 9, 2022 - MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various operations next week on State Routes 49, 132 and 140.

Route 49

  • The right shoulder will be closed for utility work from the California Ranger Station to Joe Howard Road beginning Monday, December 12, through Friday, December 16, 2022, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Route 132

  • The #1 lane will be closed for shoulder work from Horseshoe Bend to Route 49, Coulterville, beginning Monday, December 12, through Friday, December 16, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Route 140

  • One-way traffic control at various points from the Merced County line to Trower Road for highway construction beginning Monday, December 12, through Friday, December 16, 2022, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 10-minute delays at times and are advised to use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related issues.
