December 18, 2022 - Central patrol officers conducted a traffic stop in Fresno on Saturday in the area of McKinley Avenue and Fruit Avenue for a vehicle code violation. As officers contacted the driver of the vehicle, an officer observed a firearm case unlocked and within reach of the driver.

The driver was asked to step out of the vehicle and a search was conducted for officer safety. Officers located an improperly stored and loaded firearm within reach of the driver. The firearm was also found to be stolen. The driver was arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail on multiple firearm charges.
