December 20, 2022 - Hard-working, tenacious Placer County Sheriff's deputies and detectives seized nearly 90 grams of fentanyl from a wanted suspect, potentially saving many lives across the Greater Sacramento Region.

On December 8th, Placer County Sheriff’s deputies and detectives conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in Antelope associated with the wanted suspect.

Detectives located $180 in cash in the suspect’s pocket, an opened box of plastic sandwich bags, a scope for a firearm, a fake urine container, and multiple suboxone strips. Deputies and detectives then served a search warrant at the suspect’s home in Antelope, where they found over 86 grams of suspected fentanyl concealed inside four AJAX bottles, and 2 grams of suspected fentanyl, one suspected fentanyl tablet that looks like a Xanax tablet, and four suspected tablets of Buprenorphine Sublingual concealed in a hairbrush. Detectives recovered three additional containers including a hairspray bottle and Clorox bottles that were empty. Detectives also found two firearms in the suspect’s home – one unregistered, and the second registered to another individual.

Additionally, detectives located several digital scales, numerous rounds of ammunition, and numerous plastic baggies. The suspect, 34-year-old Quade Wehrman of Antelope, was arrested for possession of narcotics for sale, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and being a prohibited person in possession of ammunition.
