December 23, 2022 - The Fresno County District Attorney’s Office has filed 35 criminal counts against four people involved in a fraudulent scheme that’s victimized people all across the country. It is believed to be one of the largest white-collar crimes in Fresno County history.
Suspects:
Marcos Garza, 36, of Fresno – In custody.
Ana Ramirez, 42, of Fresno – Out of custody with a pending court hearing.
Laura Mora, 52, of Fresno – Out of custody with a pending court hearing.
Olivia Rodriguez, 55, of Fresno – Unknown whereabouts. Has an arrest warrant.
Detectives with Fresno H.E.A.T. (Help Eliminate Auto Theft) Task Force began this investigation in September of this year. This after developing information that Marcos Garza purchased a $115,000 boat using someone else’s financial information.
As detectives dug deeper, they discovered Garza operated under an alias of Jay Mora. His business is listed as JMora Consulting; Credit Life Solutions. Garza also setup a YouTube channel called, “The Wolf Trader.” Through these titles, he acted as a financial specialist who could help people in crisis by repairing their credit. He even traveled the country hosting seminars, acting as somewhat of a motivational speaker to gather new clients. While doing so, he would steal their personal information, setup new bank accounts, apply for numerous credit cards and make fraudulent purchases.
Garza got his girlfriend, Ana Ramirez, his mother, Laura Mora and an acquaintance named Olivia Rodriguez involved in his scheme. Together, they would illegally purchase multiple vehicles, boats, personal property and rent real estate properties. After more than two years, it totaled over $500,000. H.E.A.T. detectives have since recovered a considerable amount of items the suspects purchased along with financial documents.
We in law enforcement want to inform the public of their illegal activity because there is a good chance there are more victims out there who have dealt with Garza and do not realize they have been taken advantage of or never filed a police report.
Additionally, if you know the whereabouts of Olivia Rodriguez, please report it to law enforcement immediately.
If you or someone you know are potential victims, please contact the Sheriff’s Office at (559) 600-3111 or Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-7867, www.valleycrimestoppers.org You will remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward. Reference HEAT / CHP case number F739-412-22.
