January 5, 2023 - WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Bureau of Land Management is hosting a virtual information session regarding proposed new regulations to reduce the waste of natural gas from venting, flaring, and leaks during oil and gas production activities on Federal and Indian leases.

The proposed Waste Prevention, Production Subject to Royalties, and Resource Conservation rule comes as data shows venting and flaring of natural gas from Federal and Indian leases increasing at a greater rate than increases in oil production from those leases.

The virtual information forum is scheduled for Wednesday, January 11, 2022, at 2 p.m. Eastern Time. The forum will be hosted via Zoom and is expected to last about 60 minutes. BLM staff will provide a short overview of the policy followed by a question-and-answer session.

Interested parties must RSVP for the webinar at:https://blm.zoomgov.com/webinar/register/WN_n-9QmmC9R5iVMU3NsCqngA
