January 28, 2023 - National Weather Service Hanford Office reports a Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for part of the San Joaquin Valley until 10:00 A.M. this morning.
A Dense Fog Advisory means that visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter of a mile.
If driving, slow down, use low beam headlights, and keep plenty of distance between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you.
Highways affected include, but are not limited to Highway 43, Highway 99 north of Fresno, Highway 198 west of Visalia, Highway 41 south of Fresno, and Highway 180 west of Kerman.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above- ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
